The Junior Section has been established by Ellesmere Golf Club to create a structured environment for young people between the age of 6 – 17 to be able to improve their golf skills in a friendly and safe environment.

Junior Handicaps & Competitions

As players develop their skills, they will be afforded the opportunity to achieve an officially recognised handicap, which will allow them access to official competitions at the Club and other locations.

‘Competitions’ 2026 the Competitions will be open to all juniors (as mixed events). The fixtures for 2026 (and provisional trophies) are found in the diary section of the website and in the documents section of HowDidIDo

‘Safeguarding and Protecting Children’

Whilst children and young people are participating in golf activities in our care, Ellesmere Golf Club has a responsibility to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

The Club recognises the policies of the National Governing bodies, as set in out in the “England Golf Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy and Procedures”.

The policy and supporting procedures set out a framework to fulfill our commitment to good practice and the protection of children in our care.
